The two-slide social media post was designed to inform staff members about why getting tested for COVID-19 was important.

"Stay Smart. Be safe. Get tested." Social Media Campaign

Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services wanted to encourage its staff to get tested. To communicate this message, we created a social media campaign with the tagline “Stay smart. Be safe. Get tested.” offering different reasons staff should get tested.

The campaign included a set of still image graphics to be posted on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. These were created in Adobe Illustrator. I also developed a flyer version of the same information, to be printed on 8.5 by 11” paper.

To engage users in another way, I also used Adobe After Effects and Premiere to create an animated component for the story functions of Instagram and Facebook. This short video piece was made using the same graphics and color scheme from the original posts to keep the entire collection coherent internally.

The Instagram story that accompanied the package reworked the graphics and text present in the static social post versions and incorporated movement and transitions to make the content engaging.
